It took a little longer than I expected but Sammy the Puppy pattern in English is finally finished, tested and available for sale. Like in all my patterns you can find in it clear step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures of the process. If you feel like making a puppy for yourself or for your loved ones, you can find the pattern from my Ravelry or Craftsy pattern stores.

I am very happy how the puppy turned out and I recently made a big brother for Sammy. I decided to give him a bow tie instead of the heart and mixed the colours a bit. I crocheted the blue puppy also with DK, light worsted yarn DROPS Cotton Merino (52% wool, 48% cotton) but used a larger crochet hook (3 mm). This one is about 3 cm taller than Sammy and much softer.

Enjoy the summer! Nautige suve, kuniks seda veel jagub!
Buying amigurumi patterns seems to be a roll of the dice. I've spent $5 apiece on "patterns" that contain as little as two paragraphs of vague instructions and no pictures or diagrams. But I am delighted with Sammy the Puppy: Highly specific, well thought out instructions illuminated by pages and pages of step-by-step photographs. This designer is a true teacher. She knows how to teach us, and CARES that we will actually learn from her patterns.
