I am so happy you have stopped by. Nice to meet you, I am Maarja. I live with my sweet little daughters (ages 6 and 2) and lovely husband in a small northern Europe country called Estonia. Handicraft has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When my first daughter was three years old I discovered the exciting world of amigurumi - a Japanese art of crocheting or knitting stuffed animals. I have been hooked ever since and it has become an important part of my life. I have devoted countless hours to improving my crocheting skills and creating cute toys. Currently I am staying home with my younger daughter and try to spend all my free time designing and crocheting toys.
I feel so special when my daughters cherish the toys I have made for them. I started to write amigurumi patterns because I want to give the same opportunity for other mothers (also grandmothers, fathers, aunts...) around the world. Some of the patterns I have created are available for free and others you can find in my pattern stores. I am meticulous in my attention to detail and work hard to create thorough and easy to follow patterns for both beginners and also more experienced crocheters. Each pattern contains many step-by-step photos and clear instructions you will need to create cute amigurumi characters. If you run into trouble, I am happy to help you! In this blog I share my own amigurumi designs but occasionally also projects that I have created according to the patterns of other amigurumi designers or toys inspired by their work.
